2007 Custom - Sounds of the Underground Guitar - Ibanez SA120 - 2007

This custom SOTU design is on an Ibanez SA120 guitar. As far as I know, this may be a unique instrument (there may have been a few more made for contest winners, though I cannot find evidence of them online.) I received it in 2007 while visiting the Myrtle Beach date of the Sounds of the Underground tour (GWAR, ETID, Acacia Strain, Goatwhore, Darkest Hour, etc.) for which I’d recently created all the imagery and branding-design for. This Ibanez SA120 is an SA series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2004. The SA120 features a mahogany body, dual Ibanez Axis humbucking pickups and a non-locking synchronized tremolo bridge. I only ever used it once or twice for leads on the Baroness Yellow & Green recording, but the factory plastic is still over most of the hardware.
